AIGA, Orange County Design Awards (OCDAs) Silver Award Winner - 2017

National Park Geek is a social entrepreneurship that I started in September 2015. The goal of National Park Geek is to raise awareness of our parks, the issues that face them and inspire everyone to go visit. As apart of the community, I host hiking / photo meetups in various parks throughout the year.

I am a member of 1% for the Planet and donate 1% of all sales to the National Park Foundation.

Social media is the main marketing component. I started on Instagram in September 2015 and now have over +300K followers. The company is supported by an e-commence website.

All designs are created by me from sketch to finished products. Currently we are selling in 125+ National Park stores throughout the USA.

In September of 2017, I was approached  by Michelin USA to tell the story of their partnership with Yellowstone National Park and the non-profit Yellowstone Forever. They have been working with them for 10 years on sustainable issues and building new pathways from recycled tires in the Old Faithful area. I was brought out to Yellowstone to tell this story on my social media channels. As a social influencer, the combined posts had over +801K impressions to help share the word of this awesome partnership between an international corporation and the park.
